This section of the web site describes methods and considerations when interplaying an image with its reflection. I call this a reflected-once interplay.

Guidelines

1) Typically I merge a layer with the image on it with opacity 50% plus a layer with the reflected image on it. This creates a symmetrical image.

2) If you do not combine the images 50-50 then the result will be asymmetrical. I have not experimented with this as much.

3) Always Lucis-process the image with the Processing Scan Lines set to 50 to reduce the likelihood that radial line artifacts will occur, unless creating these radial lines is the effect you want to produce. Unless otherwise stated the number of Processing Scan Lines was set to 50 for all image examples.
